Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and procedures accurately
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Previous experience with wok cooking or Asian cuisine is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Din Tai Fung’s standards

Job Duties

  • Learns all Wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
  • Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
  • Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
  • Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
  • Prepares and cuts garnishes for Wok line items
  • Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and Wok meetings
