Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to follow recipes and plating standards accurately
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Learns all wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
- Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
- Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
- Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
- Prepares and cuts garnishes for wok line items
- Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
- Attends monthly staff meetings and wok meetings
