Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards
- Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field
Job Duties
- Learns all Wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
- Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
- Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
- Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
- Prepares and cuts garnishes for Wok line items
- Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
- Attends monthly staff meetings and Wok meetings
- Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
- Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
- Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
- Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
