Job Requirements

  • 2 years of high-volume kitchen experience
  • food handler certification
  • knowledge of restaurant prep and cooking methods
  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to frequently squat, twist, lift, and carry products
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures and loud environments
  • ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards

  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • preferred supervisory experience or progressive management

Job Duties

  • Prep according to the daily or weekly par
  • cook and package batches of food such as hamburgers prepared to order or kept warm
  • cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously
  • read food order slips or receive verbal instructions and prepare and cook food according to instructions
  • measure ingredients required for specific food items
  • wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
  • clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment including deep-fat fryers and griddles
  • verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases
  • participate in pre-shift meetings for instructions
  • communicate effectively and respectfully with management and coworkers
  • ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards
  • additional duties as needed by the position
