Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff
  • Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • Capable of reaching, bending, stooping, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work standing for long periods (up to 10 hours)
  • Firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • Able to follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot food products accurately and efficiently
  • Portion food prior to cooking
  • Perform final plate preparation including plating and garnishing cooked items
  • Prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates
  • Follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house staff
