Job Requirements

  • minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • able to start as early as 6am
  • reliable transportation
  • able to follow Ruby standards and recipes consistently
  • able to comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
  • able to maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members
  • able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs
  • able to stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours

Job Duties

  • accurately prepare hot food products
  • prepare and portion food prior to cooking
  • perform plating and garnishing of cooked items
  • prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates
  • follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • communicate clearly with managers and kitchen and front of house krewe members
