Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
  • Must enjoy hosting others
  • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests
  • Knowledge of applicable food preparation methods and measures for menu planning, soups, sauces, meat and seafood items
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication, must be fluent and literate in English
  • College degree or Culinary Arts degree preferred or a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training

Job Duties

  • Foster a fun environment
  • Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
  • Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events
  • Perform assigned kitchen functions such as broiler, sauté, pantry, prep and production
  • Accept direction during operations to ensure culinary standards and guidelines are met
  • Prepare food items efficiently based on recipes and plating procedures maintaining quality and presentation
  • Adjust thermostat controls for kitchen cooking equipment
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods
  • Season foods appropriately during preparation
  • Observe and test foods for doneness
  • Carve meats, portion food, add sauces and garnishes
  • Exhibit knife skills including classic cuts and sharpening
  • Prepare vegetables and fruits for cooking
  • Support safety and accident prevention programs
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure workflow meets business needs
  • Act as a role model and maintain professional appearance
  • Provide excellent customer service internally and externally
  • Assist in other food and beverage operations as needed
  • Attend training and meetings
  • Adhere to company policies, gaming laws, and safety protocols
  • Keep work areas clean and safe
  • Meet department uniform and grooming standards
  • Perform any additional duties to promote productivity as required
