  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation role is preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and portion ingredients including chopping vegetables marinating proteins and measuring seasonings to support kitchen operations
  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production delivery and service schedules
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning meeting outlined standards ensuring food is at correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Taste all prepared food items
  • Assist with preparation of menu items such as sauces sides and entrees according to chef instructions and established recipes
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
  • Monitor inventory levels of prepared items and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Ensure food and supply items are stored per standards
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning record keeping and reporting as required
  • Assist in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
  • Report needed maintenance faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures including the use of protective gloves oven mitts slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
  • Ensure proper presentation portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Personal commitment to own safety and that of others
  • Perform other duties as assigned
