Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proven cooking experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Texas Food Handler Card required before hire
  • Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization at workstation

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line cook prep cook or restaurant cook
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods ingredients equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy speed and attention to detail in executing assigned tasks
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and stay positive under pressure
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred culinary training a plus
  • Texas Food Handler Card required prior to hire
  • Must be available to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables cutting fish and preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Fry cooked rolls and assist sushi chefs with preparation as directed
  • Follow all food safety sanitation and nutrition regulations in compliance with local health codes
  • Clean up stations and properly store leftover food
  • Label rotate and stock inventory according to FIFO First In First Out practices
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
  • Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely
  • Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values of teamwork respect accountability passion honesty and kindness
