Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proven cooking experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Texas Food Handler Card required before hire
- Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization at workstation
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience including experience as a line cook prep cook or restaurant cook
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods ingredients equipment and procedures
- Accuracy speed and attention to detail in executing assigned tasks
- Ability to collaborate effectively and stay positive under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred culinary training a plus
- Texas Food Handler Card required prior to hire
- Must be available to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
- Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables cutting fish and preparing sauces
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Fry cooked rolls and assist sushi chefs with preparation as directed
- Follow all food safety sanitation and nutrition regulations in compliance with local health codes
- Clean up stations and properly store leftover food
- Label rotate and stock inventory according to FIFO First In First Out practices
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely
- Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values of teamwork respect accountability passion honesty and kindness
