Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus

  • willingness to learn and accept challenges
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Rolls the dumpling/bun skin
  • stuffs the dumplings/buns
  • closes and arranges the dumplings/buns in the steamer properly
  • adds necessary meat and allergen identifiers
  • steams the dumplings/buns for the appropriate amount of time
  • cleans the dumpling room and the steamer station
  • labels all items in accordance with health department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • attends monthly staff meetings and dumpling meetings
  • keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
  • organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
  • lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information including recipes and standard operating procedures
