Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is an advantage
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
- strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- ability to communicate effectively with team members
- willingness to learn and take on challenges
- physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Rolls the dumpling/bun skin
- stuffs the dumplings/buns
- closes and arranges the dumplings/buns in the steamer properly
- adds necessary meat and allergen identifiers
- steams the dumplings/buns for the appropriate amount of time
- cleans the dumpling room and the steamer station
- labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
- attends monthly staff meetings and Dumpling meetings
- keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
- organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
- lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
- assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
- maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
