Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- current food handler's permit required
- minimum 1 year of kitchen or food preparation experience required
- must be 21 years or older
- ability to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift 10-50 pounds frequently
- capability to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, operate kitchen tools and equipment
- ability to handle operational and administrative stressors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- current food handler's permit
- minimum 1 year kitchen or food preparation experience
- knowledge of food items, culinary terms, and kitchen equipment
- skill in interpersonal communication
- ability to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to learn basic cooking, safety, and sanitation skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Prepares all menu items with adherence to recipes and quality standards
- supports brand by protecting food quality and presentation standards
- sets up and stocks kitchen stations fully at start of shift
- manages temperature of cooking equipment and ensures items are prepared to proper temperature
- maintains cleanliness and condition of all kitchen equipment
- assists management and line cooks during high volume periods
- coordinates timing of menu item preparation with other cooks and expeditor
