Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • current food handler's permit required
  • minimum 1 year of kitchen or food preparation experience required
  • must be 21 years or older
  • ability to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift 10-50 pounds frequently
  • capability to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, operate kitchen tools and equipment
  • ability to handle operational and administrative stressors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • knowledge of food items, culinary terms, and kitchen equipment
  • skill in interpersonal communication
  • ability to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to learn basic cooking, safety, and sanitation skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepares all menu items with adherence to recipes and quality standards
  • supports brand by protecting food quality and presentation standards
  • sets up and stocks kitchen stations fully at start of shift
  • manages temperature of cooking equipment and ensures items are prepared to proper temperature
  • maintains cleanliness and condition of all kitchen equipment
  • assists management and line cooks during high volume periods
  • coordinates timing of menu item preparation with other cooks and expeditor
