Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current food handler's permit
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a kitchen or food preparation role
  • Ability to work all days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move 10 to 50 pounds frequently
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks required by the position
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to learn basic cooking, safety, and sanitation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food items, culinary terms, kitchen equipment, and knife safety
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepares all menu items with adherence to recipes and quality standards
  • Supports brand by protecting food quality and presentation
  • Sets up and stocks station fully at start of shift
  • Stocks ingredients at all times during shift
  • Manages temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Maintains cleanliness and condition of kitchen equipment
  • Assists management and line cooks during high volume periods
  • Coordinates timing of menu item preparation with team and expeditor
  • Stocks cook line, freezers, coolers, and shelves
  • Cleans station and restocks pans at end of shift
  • Completes janitorial tasks at end of shift
  • Demonstrates teamwork and respectful communication
  • Provides safe and harassment-free workplace
  • Adheres to sanitary and safe food handling practices
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
