Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred
  • Basic culinary knowledge including knife skills
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk swiftly, bend, kneel for extended periods
  • Must reliably commute or be willing to relocate to Saint George, UT
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, smoky, noisy, or humid

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knife skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with team members in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation practices
  • Proficiency in English both written and oral

Job Duties

  • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • Preparing food including cleaning, cutting ingredients, cooking appetizers, snacks, main dishes, and desserts
  • Plating prepared foods based on guidance from Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • Working with servers to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner according to guest requests
  • Washing and cleaning kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at the end of shifts
  • Ensuring kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food and safety standards
  • Daily recording of fridge and line temperatures
  • Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment including refrigerators, flat tops, and oil fryers
  • Cross-functional training in prep cooking and assuming responsibilities as needed
  • Putting away food orders as they arrive
