Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • basic knife skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance
  • ability to stand and walk swiftly for long periods
  • must reliably commute or plan to relocate to Saint George, UT
  • ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • preparing food including cleaning, cutting the ingredients, cooking appetizers, snacks, main dishes, and desserts
  • plating prepared foods based on the sous chef or kitchen manager's guidance
  • working with servers to ensure that orders are completed in a timely manner according to the guest's requests
  • washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils, and storing equipment used at the end of all shifts
  • ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food and safety standards
  • daily recording of fridge temperatures and line temperatures
  • daily cleaning of kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, flat tops, and oil fryers, including cleaning under, behind, and inside and outside of all equipment
  • cross-functional training in prep cooking and the ability to assume those responsibilities as necessary based on the needs of the business
  • put away food orders as they arrive as needed
