Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef
  • Ability to follow recipes and culinary standards
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and hygiene
  • Residency within the State of Colorado
  • Successful completion of state-required screening process for employment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar setting
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Positivity and endurance in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and skill development
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards
  • Showcase flair for plating and presentation
  • Maintain temperature charts and food safety records
  • Adhere to sanitation protocols and quality control
  • Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in streamlined kitchen operations
  • Uphold Civitas standards in personal grooming and kitchen hygiene
  • Assist in organizing kitchen, food storage, dish room, and other culinary areas
  • Ensure first-in, first-out food rotation system with proper dating and organization
  • Assist Chef Manager/F&B Director to improve kitchen efficiency and offer staff training opportunities
  • Follow all sanitation, food handling protocols, safety policies, and regulatory requirements
