Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a similar environment
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to hygiene standards
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in training and continuous education

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards
  • Showcase flair for plating and presentation
  • Maintain temperature charts and food safety records
  • Adhere to sanitation protocols and quality control
  • Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in streamlined kitchen operations
  • Uphold Civitas standards in personal grooming and kitchen hygiene
  • Assist in organizing the kitchen, food storage, dish room, and other culinary areas
  • Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system
  • Assist Chef Manager/F&B Director to grow kitchen efficiency and offer staff training opportunities
  • Follow all sanitation, food handling protocols, safety policies, and meet regulatory requirements
