Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • food handling certification
  • prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred
  • the ability to work a full-time schedule
  • ability to follow directions, guidelines and work objectives
  • must be able to stand for an entire shift
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • willing to adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards
  • inspect and clean food preparation areas, including equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • ensure the freshness and proper storage of food
  • set up, clear and break down the workstation
  • utilize a variety of kitchen equipment throughout each shift following all safety procedures
  • identify hazards and assess risks associated with food and equipment and report them to management
  • control waste and use appropriate portion sizes to maintain food costs
  • monitor food inventories and maintain appropriate levels
  • prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • clean working and storage areas, tools, equipment, and floors as needed
  • maintain all sanitation requirements including temperature control, storage, product rotation and handling
  • execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation
  • assist in additional tasks or duties as requested by management
