Job Duties

  • Prepare, season and cook menu and non-menu orders according to LodgeWorks specifications
  • clean and sanitize all work areas including kitchens, food preparation, dish washing, storage and service areas
  • follow safe food handling and service practices
  • work closely with Sales staff to service guests, meeting rooms, events, catering, restaurants and bars
  • inspect and clean food preparation areas and equipment to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • ensure freshness and proper storage of food
  • set up, clear and break down workstations
  • utilize kitchen equipment safely following all safety procedures
  • identify and report hazards, risks and maintenance problems
  • control waste and use appropriate portion sizes to maintain food costs
  • monitor food inventories and maintain appropriate levels
  • prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • practice safe work practices and wear protective safety equipment
  • maintain sanitation requirements including temperature, storage, product rotation and handling
  • execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation
  • assist in other tasks and duties as requested by management
