Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards
  • inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • ensure the freshness and proper storage of food
  • set up, clear and break down the workstation
  • utilize a variety of kitchen equipment throughout each shift and follow all safety procedures regarding the operation of equipment to avoid personal injury and or damage to the equipment
  • identify hazards and assess risks associated with food and equipment and report all hazards, risks and maintenance problems to the Manager
  • control waste and use appropriate portion sizes to maintain food costs
  • monitor food inventories and maintain appropriate levels
  • prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • practice safe work practices, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • clean working and storage areas, tools, equipment and floors as needed
  • maintain all sanitation requirements, including temperature, storage, product rotation and product handling
  • execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation
  • assist in any other tasks and duties as requested by management
