Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid food handler certificate
- previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- effective communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines

Job Duties
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with lodgeworks standards
- inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- ensure the freshness and proper storage of food
- set up, clear and break down the workstation
- utilize a variety of kitchen equipment throughout each shift following all safety procedures
- identify hazards and assess risks associated with food and equipment and report to the manager
- control waste and use appropriate portion sizes to maintain food costs
- monitor food inventories and maintain appropriate levels
- prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- practice safe work practices, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- clean working and storage areas, tools, equipment and floors as needed
- maintain all sanitation requirements including temperature, storage, product rotation and product handling
- execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation
- assist in any other task and duties as requested by management
