Job Requirements

  • at least 1 year experience as a line cook or prep cook in a full service restaurant
  • previous experience required
  • ability to work breakfast or dinner shifts
  • availability to work in Johnston, Iowa
  • excellent knife skills and culinary techniques
  • capability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1 year experience as a line cook or prep cook in a full service restaurant
  • knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • previous experience in a hotel or hospitality kitchen environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • prepare breakfast or dinner menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • work independently during service periods
  • assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation
