Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen or culinary setting preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid food handler certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late shifts
- Physical capability to perform kitchen duties including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Experienced in basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and food prep
- Culinary school or prior kitchen experience preferred
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strong sense of kitchen cleanliness and safety
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot or confined environments
- Holds or willing to obtain a valid food handler certification per local health regulations
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Open to feedback and eager to learn new skills and station responsibilities
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with daily prep and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling to meet safety and sanitation standards
- Work closely with the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service during meal periods
- Follow portion control guidelines and minimize waste through careful preparation and execution
- Maintain awareness of allergen and dietary requirements, ensuring proper communication and handling
- Support banquet or special event prep and execution as needed
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, monitoring inventory, and reporting shortages
- Uphold a team-oriented, respectful kitchen environment that values professionalism and collaboration
