  • basic written and verbal communication skills

  • accuracy and speed in executing tasks

  • follows directions and instructions
  • high school diploma or GED
  • positive outlook and cooperative with all employees
  • understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • be able to lift 50 lbs
  • familiar with industry best practices (safety/sanitation)

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in a similar professional environment, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • experience working with a pizza oven
  • basic written and verbal communication skills
  • organizational skills
  • ability to work as a team member
  • follows directions and instructions
  • high school diploma or GED
  • positive outlook and cooperative with all employees
  • understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • familiar with industry best practices (safety/sanitation)
  • a culinary degree is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
  • cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
  • maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
  • performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
  • sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
  • perform tasks with speed and accuracy (meet ticket times)
  • set up and maintain a clean workstation following protocol
  • adheres to sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
  • maintain quality and freshness of ingredients and products
  • comply with all rules and policies outlined in the MCBC employee handbook
  • perform other duties as directed by management
