Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years cooking experience
  • At least one year experience in a French or American a la carte restaurant
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
  • Positive and proactive attitude

Job Duties

  • Showcase unique culinary skills and creativity in cooking to create memorable dining experiences
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members, managers, and restaurant staff providing support and updates throughout service
  • Manage assigned work station and work autonomously when required
  • Prepare and cook menu items including dressings, sauces, appetizers, sides, and entrees
  • Prep, wash, and chop ingredients for larger dishes and plate meals according to Sofitel standards
  • Restock kitchen items, clean prep stations, and put away equipment following kitchen standards
