Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • hold a current Food Handler Card
  • at least 2 years cooking experience preferred, broiler cooking experience preferred
  • good knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • good knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • physical ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
  • manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • good communication skills in English
  • ability to follow safety procedures and emergency protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • at least 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • good knowledge of broiler cooking fundamentals
  • good knowledge of sauté cooking fundamentals
  • good working knowledge of sanitation standards
  • knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
  • basic math skills necessary for recipes and portion control
  • basic English communication skills sufficient to understand inquiries and give instructions
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily preparation lists for production
  • read and employ math skills to follow recipes
  • prepare all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspect, select, and use only food items of the highest standard
  • check and control proper storage of product and portion control
  • keep all refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • maintain all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions to management
  • report accidents, injuries, near-misses, and property damage to management
  • provide a safe work environment by following safety rules
  • maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • perform any related duties as requested by management
  • assist other kitchen personnel when needed
