Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation, especially with meat, fish, and poultry
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Capability to stand for long periods and handle heavy food products
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must adhere to company policies and safety regulations
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Physical capacity to maintain cleanliness and operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in food preparation, particularly with meat, fish, and poultry
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to follow complex recipes and food production procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with health department regulations
  • Basic math skills for recipe and portion control
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • Prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and specified guest check to ensure product consistency
  • Visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items
  • Checks and controls proper storage of product and portion control to maintain quality
  • Keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and compliant with health department regulations
  • Maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Follows safety and security procedures and rules
  • Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilizes protective equipment
  • Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
  • Provides a safe work environment by following safety and security rules
  • Maintains neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per team member handbook
  • Performs related duties as requested by management
  • Assists other kitchen personnel when needed
