Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • able to stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • responsible, dependable and punctual
  • strong communication skills including speaking, reading, and understanding English
  • clean and professional appearance
  • enthusiasm for all things 21c
  • must pass a background check

Job Duties

  • accurrately and efficiently cook hot food products
  • prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
  • plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu items
  • understand menu and cooking techniques to execute dishes properly
  • report to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift
  • work as part of a team focused on a common goal
  • bring proper tools for the job including microplanes, knives, honing steel, tongs, spatula, saucing and plating spoons
  • taste and season food properly
  • use different forms of heat and cooking methods
  • receive and apply criticism positively
  • use different kinds of proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains, dry goods, spices and vinegars
  • actively learn through inquiry
  • keep clean and organized work station before, during, and after service
  • know station set up and pars and assist sous chefs in ordering and writing prep lists for next day
  • identify product quality and freshness
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
