Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling
  • Ability to follow standard recipes and portion sizes
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard sizes and recipes
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including all kitchen equipment
  • Prepare items by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
  • Handle, store, and rotate products properly
  • Assist in food prep during off-peak periods
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist
  • Assist others in closing the kitchen
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring improvement suggestions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
