Job Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- must have valid documents to work in the United States
- minimum of two years experience as line cook in fine dining establishment
- valid and current ANSI Food Handler Certification
- availability to work up to 25 hours per week Tuesday through Sunday
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
- ability to stand, bend, and walk for entire shift
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years as line cook in fine dining establishment
- attendance to culinary program or college preferred
- valid and current ANSI Food Handler Certification
- proficient understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- professional communication skills
- ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- problem-solving abilities
- self-motivated and organized
Job Duties
- Station set up before each service
- ensure all supplies and food needed for the shift are available and ready
- stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line station
- prep food items required for other stations or special events
- comply with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
- prepare food according to orders with attention to temperature, portion control, and presentation
- maintain clean and sanitary workstations and equipment
- clean the line at end of service and assist with closing duties
- handle, store, and rotate food products properly
- accept food deliveries and place items in proper storage
- assist in recipe development and stay updated on culinary trends
- provide excellent customer service with a positive, professional demeanor
- maintain personal hygiene, uniform, and appearance
- perform other duties as assigned by Executive or Sous Chef
