Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques such as braising, sautéing, grilling
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Must report to work in clean uniform and on time
  • Ability to work rapidly in a high-paced environment
  • Must obtain Serve Safe Food Handlers certification within 90 days if not already certified

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • Degree from a culinary institute preferred
  • Serv-safe certified
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Basic cooking experience in restaurant, hotel, resort, or club
  • Knowledge of current culinary and dining trends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Problem solving ability
  • Team player with ability to work independently

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with overall dining program
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Train co-workers on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety standards
  • Prepare and execute menu items reflecting the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle
  • Participate in catering food and beverage service for special functions
  • Manage inventory and production efficiently
  • Maintain personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Work in various kitchen positions as needed
  • Comply with all food handling and sanitation practices
