Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- One year training in food service
- Combination of work experience and training may be used to fill this requirement
- Current Davis County food handlers permit
- Good communications skills
- Ability to organize and follow through
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must have the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends

Job Duties
- Works cooperatively with the cafe manager to ensure a quality food service program
- Exemplifies and provides professional customer service in all aspects of food service
- Assists in preparation and cooking of designated menus
- Works independently to operate a short-order line during breakfast and lunch hours
- Preparing, cooking, and serving food to customers
- Maintains serving areas in clean and well-stocked manner
- Monitors condition of equipment, cleanliness and order of storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, and other equipment
- Maintains kitchen and seating area in clean, sanitary, and orderly condition
- Works with student dishwashers to ensure consistent quality clean-up of kitchen
- Works with students to ensure food quality and service standards are met
- May assist with cashier responsibilities as needed
- Works cooperatively within the college community
- Performs other related duties as assigned
