Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • open availability
  • must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • must be able to pass a mandatory drug test with the exception of Marijuana and criminal background check
  • active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card required for this position
  • must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds
  • must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 3 or more hours a day
  • must be able to perform repetitive use of hands for simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling and reaching for entire shift
  • position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness
  • must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card
  • flexible and able to take direction
  • ability to work as a team player
  • knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
  • experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with appropriate recipes and presentation on a consistent basis
  • provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking
  • monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
  • recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains including proper storage
  • effectively utilize leftovers and control waste
  • be flexible and able to take direction
  • work with others as a team player in a small, confined space
