  • basic math skills to calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to recipe specifications
  • properly measure and portion all food items
  • comply with portion sizes, quality standards, policies and procedures
  • cook all food to proper specifications in a timely manner
  • utilize kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens
  • ensure proper food temperatures and correct storage
  • maintain freshness and quality of all menu items
  • package products with appropriate dating and labeling
  • perform opening, closing and side work duties
  • keep workstation, coolers and equipment clean, organized, sanitized and stocked
  • follow all health codes and sanitation regulations
  • set up and operate kitchen equipment
  • use waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheet
  • perform other duties as assigned
