Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cook or prep cook experience
  • Valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including events
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler steamer convection oven mixer meat slicer and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees coworkers management staff and guests
  • Ability to speak read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team oriented fast paced event driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide high quality fresh food products in a timely manner for guests
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portion requirements
  • Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to food preparation and service delivery
  • Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation health and safety standards in work areas
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion arrange and garnish food plates for guest delivery
  • Consult with Executive Chef Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance
