Job Requirements

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, management and guests
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide high quality fresh food products in a timely manner
  • Prepare hot and cold foods according to company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service and product delivery
  • Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion, arrange and garnish food plates for guest delivery
  • Consult with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and availability for scheduled events
