Job Description
The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is an iconic, historic venue renowned as one of the city's premier destinations for live entertainment and cultural events. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check
- Must be able to traverse multiple building areas and move between floors frequently
- Must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a prep cook for high-volume catering desired but not required
- Knowledge of preparing food as directed
- Ability to maintain a clean workstation
- General knowledge of basic food production skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to act respectfully under pressure
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced, quality-driven environment
- Knowledge and adherence to Fox Theatre, local, and state safety and sanitation policies
- Ability to maintain kitchen equipment and cleaning schedules
- Experience in working carving stations, action stations, and attended stations
- High standards of personal hygiene
Job Duties
- Assist in executing all culinary requirements for the Marquee Club, specialty Concession offerings, and in-house events and meetings
- Follow the production schedule as directed
- Assist in the completion of regular inventory of products
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols when handling, storing, prepping, cooking, and serving all food items
- Prepare, finish, and serve hot foods, cold foods, and pastries
- Attend kitchen meetings as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
