Job Requirements
- Must meet state and local requirements for food handler's certification
- Certification must be obtained by first day or within timeline required by location
- Ability to stand for several hours
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Open to varied work schedules and hours
- Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to have fun
- Previous experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain as required
Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
- Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
- Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful dishes
- Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming while maintaining proper texture and flavor
- Assemble and build each taco to order meeting high standards and guest expectations
- Prepare and cook ingredients on grill, fryer, sauté and steam stations according to recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation standards
- Work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
- Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients for kitchen success before and during service
- Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods maintaining quality and presentation of food
