Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local food handler's certification requirements
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by your first day or within the timeline required
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station to cook fried items to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station, cooking proteins accurately and grilling taco ingredients
  • Manage the sauté station, handling ingredients to create flavorful dishes
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare steamed dishes with proper texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build tacos to meet high standards and guest expectations
  • Prepare and cook ingredients according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at the workstation
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members for timely and correct food preparation
  • Assist with inventory stocking and organization
  • Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
