Job Requirements
- Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
- Certification(s) must be obtained by your first day or within the timeline required by your location
- Ability to stand for several hours
- Ability to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
- Ability to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
- Ability to serve guests needs with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to have fun
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
- Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and grilling taco ingredients perfectly
- Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful dishes
- Operate steam equipment maintaining the right texture and flavor for steamed dishes
- Assemble and build tacos to meet high standards and guest expectations
- Prepare and cook ingredients according to Torchy's recipes and standards
- Maintain clean and organized workstations ensuring food safety and sanitation
- Collaborate closely with BOH team members for timely and correct food preparation
- Assist with inventory management stocking and organizing ingredients
- Work efficiently during busy periods keeping up with guest demand while maintaining quality and presentation
