Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for food handler's certification
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by first day or within required timeline
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
  • Must be able to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen environment
  • Good knowledge of food safety standards
  • Basic culinary skills related to fry grill sauté steam and taco preparation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Good physical stamina to stand and perform repetitive tasks for long periods

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each one meets high standards and guest expectations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on the grill fryer sauté and steam stations according to recipes and standards
  • Monitor quality and presentation of each dish ensuring that every taco meets standards before it reaches the guest
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Work closely with other BOH team members to ensure all food is prepared timely and correctly contributing to a smooth kitchen operation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients ensuring the kitchen is set up for success before and during service
  • Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to keep up with guest demand while maintaining food quality and presentation
