Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for food handler's certification
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by first day or within the required timeline
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • Must have food handler's certification as required by state and local regulations
  • Previous experience in a similar cooking role preferred but not required
  • Ability to work flexible hours and varied schedules based on restaurant needs
  • Ability to stand for several hours

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guests' expectations
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish, ensuring every taco meets Damn Good standards before reaching the guest
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is set up for success before and during service
  • Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to keep up with guest demand while maintaining quality and presentation of the food
