Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by first day or within timeline required by location
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant’s needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests’ needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler’s certification according to state and local requirements
  • Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work varied schedules and hours based on restaurant needs

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guests’ expectations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish to meet Damn Good standards before serving
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure food safety and sanitation
  • Work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients to keep kitchen ready for service
  • Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to meet guest demand while maintaining quality
