Job Requirements

  • meet state and local requirements for food handler's certification
  • obtain certification by first day or within timeline required
  • previous experience preferred
  • open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • able to stand for several hours
  • able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
  • able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds
  • ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency

Job Duties

  • master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guests' expectations
  • prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to recipes and standards
  • monitor the quality and presentation of each dish, ensuring every taco meets standards before reaching the guest
  • maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
  • assist with stocking and organizing ingredients to ensure kitchen readiness before and during service
  • operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to maintain quality and presentation
