Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and brand standards accurately
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and hours
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins to correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each meets high standards and guests' expectations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish ensuring all standards are met before reaching the guest
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with back-of-house team members ensuring timely and correct food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients ensuring kitchen readiness before and during service
  • Operate with urgency during busy periods maintaining food quality and presentation
