Job Requirements

  • Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
  • Obtain certification(s) by first day or within required timeline
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach at various height levels
  • Able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds
  • Demonstrate high urgency in guest service
  • Maintain a positive and fun attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to provide high sense of urgency in serving guests
  • Ability to have fun while working

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guest expectations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on the grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish, ensuring every taco meets Damn Good standards before it reaches the guest
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure all food is prepared timely and correctly, contributing to smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is set up for success before and during service
  • Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to keep up with guest demand, while maintaining quality and presentation of the food
