Job Requirements
- Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
- obtain certification by first day or within required timeline
- previous cooking experience preferred
- open to varied work schedules and hours
- able to stand for several hours
- able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
- able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- ability to serve guests' needs with urgency

Job Duties
- Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
- operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
- manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
- operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
- assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guests' expectations
- prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on the grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to Torchy's recipes and standards
- monitor the quality and presentation of each dish, ensuring every taco meets standards before it reaches the guest
- maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure all food is prepared timely and correctly
- assist with stocking and organizing ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is set up for success before and during service
- operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to keep up with guest demand, while maintaining the quality and presentation of the food
