Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for food handler's certification
  • Certification must be obtained by first day or within location timeline
  • Ability to stand for several hours
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach for items on shelves at various heights
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 40 pounds
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • Ability to serve guests with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • No formal education required
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on various cooking stations
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins to correct temperatures and grilling all taco ingredients perfectly
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare steamed dishes maintaining proper texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order meeting high standards and guest expectations
  • Prepare and cook ingredients according to company recipes and standards
  • Maintain clean and organized workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation
  • Collaborate closely with the back-of-house team for timely and accurate food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients
  • Operate with urgency during busy periods while maintaining food quality and presentation
