Job Requirements

  • Meet state and local requirements for food handler's certification
  • Certification must be obtained by first day or within required timeline
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant's needs
  • Able to stand for several hours
  • Able to bend stretch twist or reach for objects at various shelf heights
  • Able to lift push pull or carry objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • Food handler's certification or ability to obtain before first day
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work varied schedules and flexible hours
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure maintaining quality and presentation
  • Enthusiastic and able to have fun while working

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled perfectly
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful dishes
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming maintaining texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring high standards and guest satisfaction
  • Prepare and cook ingredients according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station ensuring food safety and sanitation
