Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by first day or within required timeline
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
  • Food Handler’s certification as required by state or local laws
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Effective team collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands of standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guests’ expectations
  • Prepare and cook ingredients on grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to recipes and standards
  • Monitor quality and presentation of each dish to ensure standards are met before service
  • Maintain clean and organized work station, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients for efficient kitchen operations
  • Operate with urgency during busy periods while maintaining food quality and presentation
